ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ದುಬೈ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ, ಯುಎಇ ಕಿರುಪರಿಚಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರು ಇರು ಎಂತಾದರು ಇರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗು ನೀ ಕನ್ನಡವಾಗಿರು ಎನ್ನುವ ಕುವೆಂಪು ನುಡಿಯಂತೆ ಅನಿವಾಸಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ತಾಯ್ನಾಡಿನ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆ, ಕಲೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಕಟ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಹೊಂದುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ದುಬೈ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ,ಯುಎಇ ವಾಟ್ಸಾಪ್ ಗುಂಪು 4ನೆ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 2015 ರಂದು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಗುಂಪು ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಂಪನ್ನು ಹರಡುತ್ತಾ ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು ನುಡಿ ಕುರಿತ ವಿಚಾರಗಳು, ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಗುಂಪಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.
ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದರು, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಆಯೋಜಕರಾದರು , ಆಯೋಜಕರು ಇತರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸೇತುವೆಯಾದರು, ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾದರು , ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಾದರು.ಯುಎಇ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರು ಲಾಭ ರಹಿತ (ನಾಟ್ ಫಾರ್ ಪ್ರಾಫಿಟ್) ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಗುಂಪು ಇದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಬಹಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ .
Introduction of
“Hemmeya Dubai Kannada Sangha,UAE”
Since 2015, Hemmeya Dubai Kannada Sangha,UAE are a non-profit WhatsApp group formed exclusively to promote the Kannada Language and culture in UAE run by likeminded working professionals.
We share important information, conduct events (Dasara Sports & Cultural Activities, Children Talent Show, Dubai Fitness challenge Walk, Job Fair, Doctor’s Day, Ramadan Multi religious meet, UAE kannadigas Business Meet etc.) , inform 3,000 community members about events in the UAE. We have raised and contributed Flood relief funds, Covid Relief Food supplies, Medical Assistance, Arranged Air Tickets, helping families & members in distress in UAE. Kannadiga Business Forum with 180 Members created business opportunities within the community, created jobs for Kannadigas. Kannada Doctors group lending its humanitarian arm to the community.
Achievements
In the last 6 years, the notable achievements of the independent community group are:
01 Dasara Sports
Uphold the spirit of the Dasara festival for expat Kannadigas by organizing the “Dasara Sports”. Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic, this event which was conducted in 2019 was attended by more than 5,000 expat Kannadigas residing in the UAE
02 financial help
We financially helped 3 kannadigas family who died in Dubai, Sharjah road accident and other accident death and illness kannadiga hospital expenses paid
03 Helping expats
To support the expats visiting UAE for work and also for the expats who are living in UAE, have been conducting “Job Fair” regularly.
04 Blood Donation Camps

05 iftar meet
Organizing Sarva Dharma iftar koota(multi religious iftar meet) during Holy month of Ramadan.
06 Doctors’ day celebration
Doctors’ day celebration with kannadiga Doctors of UAE who are our group members.
07 Kids Talent show
Kids Talent show celebrating Indian Festivals Sankranti, Christmas& Republic day.
08 job vacancies and other assistance
Helping all the communities and nationalities by informing job vacancies and other assistance like covid pandemic
09 Volunteer program
Joined the Volunteer program of the UAE Government(with dubai health authority and Dubai police authority) to provide Medical and other assistance like shifting covid patients to hospitals during the Covid-19 lockdown & after, by providing Food packets to the needy, by providing groceries for the affected individuals & families due to the job loss during the pandemic.
10 Twitter program
We also conducted a Twitter program on 11 February 2021 drawing attention of the Government of Karnataka with an appeal seeking emergency assistance to Kannada Migrant workers stuck in UAE to return to Karnataka by arranging free Air tickets for returning back to the homeland.
11 Kannada Bhavana
We also have lent voice for “Kannada Bhavana” that would lay foundation and open the golden gates for current & future generation. The center would also serve as the hub for Kannadigas in distress in UAE. An exclusive letter was also emailed to the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri. Yediyurappa. The campaign saw several kannadigas across the UAE tweeting in one voice and participating for the greater cause of preserving the cultural & traditional values of Karnataka and also to create a support system in UAE. Recently, due to the closure of the borders by the neighboring GCC Countries Saudi Arabia & Kuwait, several migrant workers from all across India (including Karnataka) are stranded who are transiting through the UAE. Many of them are undergoing several difficulties as this situation was not foreseen and the lack of resources
